Executive Summary
As the Lead Product Designer, I led the end-to-end design of NectaBills, a digital financial platform built to simplify everyday financial activities for Nigerians. Rather than requiring users to juggle multiple applications for transfers, utility payments, airtime purchases, savings, and digital connectivity, NectaBills brings these essential services together within a single ecosystem. My role involved designing intuitive financial workflows, balancing regulatory requirements with usability, and creating a scalable experience that serves both everyday users and future platform growth.

The Challenge
"I use one app for transfers, another for paying electricity bills, a different one for buying airtime, and my bank app for savings. Managing my money feels scattered, and every extra app makes simple tasks more frustrating."
This recurring frustration became the foundation of the project. Nigeria's fintech ecosystem has experienced rapid growth, but most financial products solve only one problem. Users frequently switch between banking apps, utility payment platforms, airtime vendors, savings applications, and telecom services to complete everyday financial tasks. This fragmented experience increases cognitive load, wastes time, and creates unnecessary friction. The objective wasn't simply to build another fintech application. It was to create a unified financial ecosystem where users could manage transfers, payments, connectivity, and savings from one secure platform.
